Encyclopaedia Events
The Encyclopaedia was published on 31 January 2008. Together with a series of lectures funded by the Academi and a simultaneous event launch, we will be arranging many more dates for your diaries so please visit here for more information.
March 2008: Institute of Welsh Affairs: Encyclopaedia event in the Dylan Thomas Centre, Swansea.
April 2008: Institute of Welsh Affairs: Encyclopaedia event in Galeri, Caernarfon.
April 14th 2008: University of Wales Press celebrate the publication of the Encyclopaedia. 5.00 pm on Stand U345, London International Book Fair, Earls Court, London.
May 2008: Institute of Welsh Affairs: Encyclopaedia event in the Halliwell Centre, Carmarthen.

Institute of Welsh Affairs: Encyclopaedia event in Newport University, Caerleon.
January 31st 2008: The four editors will undertake a mini-tour of Wales introducing the eagerly awaited publication and signing copies at bookstores around Wales:
Dr John Davies will be at Caban, Pontcanna, Cardiff, 10.30 - 11.30 am, Siop y Felin, Whitchurch, Cardiff, 12.30 - 1.00 pm and Siop y Bont, Pontypridd, 2.30 - 3.30 pm.
Nigel Jenkins will be at Llyfrau’r Ddraig, Llanelli, 10.30 - 11.30 am, T-Hwnt, Carmarthen, 12.30 - 1.30 pm and Siop y Pentan, Carmarthen, 2.00 - 3.00 pm.
Menna Baines will be at Llên Llŷn, Pwllheli, 10.30 - 11.30 am, Palas Print, Caernarfon, 12.30 - 1.30 pm and Siop Pendref, Bangor, 2.30 - 3.30 pm.
Peredur Lynch will be at Siop Clwyd, Denbigh, 11.00 - 12.00 pm and Siop y Morfa, Rhyl, 1.00 - 2.00 pm.
February 1st 2008: Encyclopaedia launch. Drinks reception in the company of Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas, the Editors and University of Wales Press. 6.00 pm at the Senedd, Cardiff Bay.
February 2nd 2008: Borders, Cardiff: A commercial launch in partnership with Borders in Cardiff in the company of the Editors and a number of talented Welsh peronalities. 10.00 am - 3.00 pm at Borders bookstore, The Hayes, Cardiff.
February 2nd 2008: Theatr Harlech: Encyclopaedia lecture by Catrin Williams on Patagonia. Theatr Harlech. See What’s On for details.
February 8th 2008: A Celebration of the publication of the Encyclopaedia with co-editors John Davies, Menna Baines, Nigel Jenkins and Peredur I. Lynch. 6.00 pm at the Main Arts Lecture Theatre, University of Bangor. Light refreshments will be served.
February 13th 2008: Launch event of the Encyclopaedia at the University of Wales, Swansea with the Vice Chancellor, Professor Richard Davies, Professor M Wynn Thomas and editor Nigel Jenkins. 5.00 pm at the Council Chamber, Singleton Abbey, Swansea.
