22 May 2008 - St David’s Hall: Invitation from the BBC to attend concert for Michael Berkeley 60th birthday. BBC National Orchestra of Wales.

24 May 2008 -  Hay Festival of Literature. Segovia Stage, 4pm.  ’At the Source’: Gillian Clarke Introduced by Peter Florence. Interview, reading followed by book signing.

25 May 2008 - Hay Festival of Literature, Literature in Wales Stand, 4pm - 5pm.  Gillian Clarke reads and discusses her work as President of the Taliesin Trust which manages the Tŷ Newydd Centre.  Sally Baker, Centre Director will discuss the programmes and courses.

2 June 2008 - 2008 Cardiff International Poetry Competition Prize-giving Ceremony. Aboard Seren Y Bae, Cardiff Bay, 2.00 pm. Gillian Clarke announces the winners of the competition and reads her own Cardiff inspired poetry.

12 June 2008 - Radyr Comprehensive School, Cardiff: After school writers club. Host Mike Jenkins.
